Point Mallard forward Hamilton makes college commitment

The Point Mallard Ducks of the NA3HL are proud to announce that forward Josh Hamilton has committed to play college hockey at Liberty University. Liberty University is an ACHA Division I program.
Hamilton, from Jamestown, NC just finished his second season with the Ducks. “We are extremely happy and proud for Josh and his family. He has earned this opportunity with Liberty, and we know that he will be a great addition to their program,” stated Ducks GM/Head Coach Tom Winkler.
Hamilton had an outstanding 2015-16 season for the South Division Regular Season and Playoff Champion Ducks. The team captain had 40 goals, 34 assists for 74 points in 53 games, which includes regular season, playoffs, and the Silver Cup Tournament.
He also had a plus 46 rating to go along with 25 penalty minutes. Josh was the 2015-2016 NA3HL South Division Leadership Award winner. “Josh was our undisputed leader, he did a tremendous job setting the example and tempo for our team,” stated Winkler.
Hamilton was also selected to and played in the 2016 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the South Division team.
Liberty is excited to have Hamilton on board as well:. “We are excited to add Josh to our family at Liberty. We love the leadership he possesses and the way he competes on the ice. We know he will fit well into the culture of our hockey program,” stated Liberty Head Coach, Kirk Handy.
